Why 1080×1920 matters
TikTok is watched on phones held upright, so the feed is a 9:16 frame. A video at 1080×1920 fills it edge to edge. A horizontal video shows as a thin strip with empty space above and below.
Resizing is a choice about what to keep. Crop fills the screen but cuts the sides, so move the crop to keep the speaker in frame. Blurred fit keeps the whole picture and fills the space with a soft copy of the video. Color fit does the same with a plain background, which suits text and slides.
